weekend entertainment

Friday Night: Live Entertainment Robert Lighthouse and Band

To begin our epic weekend extravaganza, our opening night will pay homage our local scene, Indigo Dance’s roots. We wish to celebrate our beginnings as a blues dance scene—a scene that has over time, transitioned into a fusion scene that is absolute FIRE. We are excited to welcome a traditional blues band from Washington D.C, Robert Lighthouse and Band as our opener.

Blues artist Robert Lighthouse, a native of Sweden, first came to the United States at the age of 18, driven by a determination to learn more about the Mississippi Delta Blues. For eight years he traveled around the country, absorbing American roots music in blues meccas like Chicago's Maxwell Street and New Orleans before settling in Washington, D.C., in 1988, where he began as a street musician.  There, he established a fan base and continues to be an active fixture of the DC scene, regularly performing at the local blues dance event, Backroom Blues at Glen Echo Park.

Saturday Night: Live Entertainment, Alan Markley

We are eager to welcome to our community Mr. Alan Markley! Markey is a musical artist based out of Brooklyn NY. He is a versatile musician, composer, and producer and is celebrated in the New York fusion community.
